In the past fifteen minutes, a beeping sound has been emanating from my hallway. It is NOT my smoke detectors. It is something that has been on the wall above the second bedroom door since I bought the place 5 years ago and just never paid attention to, was never told what it is. It is very firmly attached and cannot be removed by hand. I have opened it....no battery, only wires. I cannot figure out what it is, cannot get it to stop beeping. It has no writing on it whatsoever. I don't know if it might be a carbon menoxide detector? It is smooth, white, no distinguishing marks with a black cone looking thing inside. PLEASE help me Make Up My Mind..... And this is actually kinda serious....Should I:
A) Knock the thing off the wall with a hammer to get it to stop? (scared to pull wires)
OR
B) Sleep at a hotel because I'll be dead in the morning if I stay here?
It's been nice knowing you all if I'm actually sitting in a death trap!!!! :O |
