| The airport has these new machines called "Body Imaging Scanners" and, from what I've read, they are able to see through your clothes. The waves, or beams, or whatever are calibrated to bounce off human skin, supposedly enabling the TSA screeners to determine if you're carrying a non-metallic weapon. I have 2 problems with this: First, I'm super self-conscious and letting someone that is not a trusted lover or a trusted doctor see my naked body really humiliates me. Second, and more important, I view this as a violation of our constitutional rights. Specifically, the right against unreasonable searches and the implied right (as stated by the U.S. Supreme Court & yet to be over ruled) of our right to privacy. As of now, its optional, but may not be in the future. So, do you feel as I do, or would you consent to this procedure? |
