The county fair will be here in about 2 weeks, and my 6 year old daughter is already asking about going. We've gone every year since she was born, and I would love to take her again....
She started 1st grade this year, and the teacher has a color coded system to tell you if your child behaved or not. Red means they misbehaved several times - even after warnings, yellow means they got warned once or twice, and green means they were good. My daughter has received a yellow light EVERYDAY since school started with the exception of two days. Now granted, she only got warned for talking in class, nothing serious. Still, I have higher expectations and have told her this.
So, to make this a MUMM:
Should I take my daughter to the fair if she continues to bring home yellow lights?
A: Yes, it only comes once a year and she isn't getting any red lights!
B: No, you shouldn't reward bad behavior, no exceptions!
