| ok, here goes....the roomie & I picked up a couple of fish tanks the other day, one 55 gal. & one 30 gal. The fella that had 'em, had four fish ( one faded away unfortunately )....all are pan fry'n size, LOL...two of 'em will go in the 55 gal. tank. The other one however, after doing a google search cuz we weren't sure exactly what he was or what he ate ( the owner didn't give us much info )...We found out he's an irredescent shark & he's already about six or seven inches long. The search says in an aquarium, they're growth will be stunted, but they'll still get pretty big AND they eat smaller fish...suck 'em right up, lol...I for one don't want him in my tank as I'm doin' just your run of the mill community fish. I'd really like to keep him, he's purdy, but...we don't want him eat'n all the other smaller fish in either tank...there's just no way we can keep him, sooo....should we let him go in the lake or maybe find a pet store that deals with aquarium fish???? |
