on December 4, my mentor and the one I idolize most passed away. he was the captain of the coast guard cutter the Woodrush. You history buffs should know the tragedy of the Edmund Fitzgerald. she sunk in 1975,all crew parishes,here in lake superior. he was the captain of the vessel in which first appeared on scene. he also was my employer as a teen at the historical society and taught me a great deal of life skills. RIP CAptain Jimmie Hobaugh. you are gone but never forgoutten.
