-Insert JUICY subject-
Breezing threw the subject titles of the blogs, I see a definite trend.
I'm not immune nor am I condemning anyone.
The trend I am addressing and accountable for is:
D R A M A
Its not just the blogs, its bulletins here on "Lost Cherry" ...
its the news in the paper, television, radio and all forms of Media.
I know this is no ground breaking NEWS, and the subject is brought up by every journalist at one time or another.
Movies are made and books will sell for the: Drama, intrigue, sex and lies.
We cant even have HEROES without some sort of drama for the heroic action to take place.
Just watch the bulletins that go to the top (of the list) and are reposted ...
If the subject title is one of Drama ...
you might even see it last a couple of days.
While if its one of a friendly and sweet nature ...
it may only have a single view.
Lets face it, that's why the head lines of the newspaper are those of dramatic accounts ...
all those human interest stories are buried many pages back.
Heck, the "Thank-You's" are usually stuck with the "Help Wanted" adds at the very end of the papers.
Once in a large city of numerous News papers, they (a newspaper) experimented with Head lines and the front page.
Only good new to be placed on the front-page.
It not only was outsold by the competitor 9 to 1;
it cost the editor his job.
(I wish I could quote which paper - but this was hearsay from back in the 80's)
So as we bitch and moan about the DRAMA on this or any other site,
(which does what)?
Keep hypocrisy in mind as we spout off about this or that ... get all fired-up about a certain post which you find offensive and yet hit the (repost) option.
*holds hand up, yeah I'm guilty*
As stated - I'm not passing blame nor having a fit, I'm making an interesting observation that's been observed times and times again.
I guess its like an addiction for drama ...
and like any addiction, the first step to recovery is admitting the problem . . .
